Huerquehue National Park, near Pucon, Chile

In Chile's lake district lies the Huerquehue National Park - a stunning collection of mountains and lakes. The hiking is varied, from day hikes to lakes and peaks, to a longer multi-day hike to a nearby hot spring. There is a lovely guesthouse (refugio) called Refugio Tinquilco, at the edge of Lage Tinquilco, just near the park entrance. This is Lago Verde, where visitors swim in the summer
