Back of Hallsgrímskirkja, Reykjavik, Iceland

The back end of the Hallsgrímskirkja church in Reykjavik, with the design based on the country's basalt columns. Designed by Guðjón Samúelsson, and built in 1937. At the time I visited the front was under scaffolding, as it was undergoing major structural repair in 2008-9.
